RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

At Makeda SN Food , we place great importance on the quality of our products and customer satisfaction. Every order is prepared with care to offer you an impeccable experience.

Due to the food nature of our products, certain conditions apply.

Product returns

For hygiene and food safety reasons , we do not accept any returns of food products , whether opened or unopened.

Once the order has been shipped, it cannot be returned.

Product damaged during transport

If you receive a damaged product upon delivery:

  • You must contact us within 48 hours of receipt
  • Provide clear photos of the product and packaging
  • Please provide your order number.

After verification, we will proceed to:

  • A product replacement
    Or
  • A refund if a replacement is not possible

Expired product

Although our stock turnover is high and we rigorously ensure the freshness of our products, if you receive an expired item:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of receipt
  • Attach a photo of the product and the expiration date.

We will quickly arrange a replacement or a refund.

Personal taste or preference

Tastes vary from person to person.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund if the product does not meet your personal preferences.

Order error

If an error has occurred with your order (incorrect product received), please contact us within 48 hours with supporting photos. We will rectify the situation as quickly as possible.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY

How shipping works

Orders are processed 7 days a week and shipped Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). We strive to ship your orders as quickly as possible.

These delivery times are estimates based on regular order volume and are not guaranteed. During the holiday season, shipping times are generally longer due to holidays and very high order volume.

Standard shipments by ground transport / parcel

Most parcel shipments will be dispatched within 24 to 72 hours, and parcels do not require a signature upon delivery. Standard shipping times average 3 to 5 business days, and remote areas of North America rarely exceed 10 days. We cannot guarantee which service provider will be used until an order is processed. Our delivery partners are Purolator, UPS, and Canada Post.


Delivery costs

Our goal is to offer free shipping on all orders over $150 in Canada; however, this may not always be possible. If shipping charges need to be added to your order, they will be indicated as a "surcharge" before you confirm your payment. These additional charges are determined by the carrier and apply to shipping locations that may be difficult to service or rarely served. In rare cases, we reserve the right to inform you after you have purchased an item of any additional shipping or handling charges required to complete the delivery of your order. If additional shipping charges are required, you may choose to modify or cancel your order and receive a full refund.

Returns, refunds and exchanges policy

For hygiene reasons, all food products and containers, such as bottles or food containers, cannot be returned. Any merchandise that has been used or handled will not be accepted. 

Remote regions

We can deliver our products to most cities in remote areas. However, additional shipping charges will apply due to the higher logistical costs associated with air transport, among other things.

Regions subject to a surcharge include, but are not limited to:

  • American territories or protectorates (US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.)
  • Alaska and Hawaii
  • Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories of Canada
  • Anticosti Island

Orders for these regions should be sent to makedasnfood@gmail.com. We will reply as soon as possible with a shipping quote. Any additional charges will be communicated and approved before payment is processed.

Liability in the event of transport damage

We take every precaution to carefully pack your items so they arrive in perfect condition. However, we will not be responsible for the shipping costs to resend the item if it is damaged in transit. Nevertheless, we will work with you to resolve the issue as efficiently as possible.

Change of address

Addresses can be updated by contacting us by phone or email, at no extra charge, before your order is shipped. Once your order has shipped, the carrier will charge an additional fee to update the delivery address. This fee can be very expensive – please be sure to check the address when you receive your order confirmation.
